AI calorie counter

Photograph it, say it or scan it. Then check it.

Xoof turns whatever you remember about a meal into a list of foods with calories and macros. Check it, fix anything that is off, and save it to your day.

A confirmation now, then one email at launch. No newsletter. We delete the list within 30 days of the launch email, and you can ask to be removed any time. Privacy policy.

Xoof's Nutrition screen showing 820 kcal left, protein, carbs and fat bars, and search, barcode, photo and voice meal logging

Five ways to log a meal

Start wherever is easiest. Every method gives you the same list to check.

Photo

Snap the plate. Get back ingredients, portions, calories and macros to check.

Voice

“Two eggs on toast and a flat white.” Said once, drafted as a meal.

Text

Type a meal the way you would text it. Same draft, same review.

Barcode

Real product data for anything in a packet. Missing ones you add once.

Saved meals

Your usual breakfast is a tap, and recent meals sit one search away.

You check every meal.

An AI can misjudge a portion or miss the oil in the pan. So Xoof shows the ingredients and amounts it assumed, and you correct them before saving. Your day's totals are then calculated from the meal you saved.

Kind about food.

Your day shows an energy budget beside protein, carbs and fat. Mira, the Nutrition coach, can point out that you are short on protein with dinner still to come. She keeps the coaching kind and practical.

Meet Mira, see how your food data is handled, or log workouts the same way.

Calorie counting questions

How accurate is counting calories from a photo?

It is an estimate, and portion size is the hardest part for any photo method. That is why Xoof lists the ingredients and portions it assumed, so you can correct anything it got wrong. For packaged food, scanning the barcode is more precise.

Can I scan barcodes?

Yes. Scan a product for its nutrition data. If it is missing, add it once and it is there next time. Product data can be community-sourced, so always check the physical packaging for allergens.

Does it track macros as well as calories?

Yes. Each day shows your energy budget alongside protein, carbs and fat, and meals carry fibre too. All of those totals are calculated from the meals you logged.

Where does my calorie target come from?

From you. Set a target directly, or set a body-weight goal and Xoof calculates one in that direction, with a capped weekly rate to keep any cut gentle.

Will it tell me off for going over?

The coaching stays kind about food. If you are losing weight faster than the rate you set, Mira raises it as a concern. If food feels difficult right now, please talk to a professional first; our Health & Safety page lists where to get support.

Is the calorie counter free?

Search, barcode scanning, saved meals and manual logging are part of the free logbook. Photo and voice capture use AI: new accounts get 14 days of full AI, then a small free allowance refills every week.

We will email you the download link on launch day. New accounts start with 14 days of full AI, and no card is needed.
